Dr. Stacy O’BrienChief Audiologist
With vast years of experience, Dr. Stacy O’Brien, Board-Certified Audiologist, is dedicated to providing solutions to those with hearing loss. She received her undergraduate education at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and her Doctoral studies at the University of South Florida, Tampa. She is an active Fellow of the following: the American Academy of Audiology, the Academy of Doctors of Audiology, and the Florida Academy of Audiology.
Stacy was born in Florida at Homestead Air Force Base, but spent her childhood in Texas, and then returned to Florida in 2000 where she now happily resides. In her free time, Stacy is a sports fanatic. She loves watching, playing, and coaching sports. Her favorite football team was the Houston Oilers, which is no longer a team, so she now cheers on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Dr. O’Brien was inspired to become an Audiologist when her youngest daughter suffered from middle ear issues and the treatment process she went through instilled a dream within Stacy to help others in a similar manner.
Dr. O’Brien finds that helping her patients experience better quality of life by solving their hearing and balance needs is the most fulfilling and rewarding aspect of her work. She states that her patients are hands down her favorite part about her work. She believes that her greatest career highlights are the many letters she has received from family members of patients that thank the practice for changing their family member’s life, and giving them back those relationships. She feels that that is the highest reward and honor she could ever receive. Stacy feels grateful to have the opportunity to help people day in and day out, restoring their communication through better hearing or new communication strategies.

Dr. Meredith OlmsteadF-AAA Certified Audiologist
Dr. Meredith Olmstead, Board-Certified Audiologist, was born in Memphis, Tennessee and raised in North Little Rock, Arkansas. She received her undergraduate degree at University of Arkansas in Little Rock and graduated with her Doctorate of Audiology at University of Arkansas for medical sciences, with highest honors. Dr. Olmstead completed her residency at Arkansas Otolaryngology Clinic, where she received excellent training in all areas of audiology. In June of 2019, she accepted a position at Atlantic Hearing, Balance, and Tinnitus Center’s Ormond Beach location and moved to the area with her husband, four children, and two dogs.
She became an Audiologist to improve patients’ overall cognitive health and ability to communicate with loved ones and is passionate about treating hearing loss, tinnitus, and balance issues. Education, building relationships with patients, and meeting their individual needs through counseling and goal-oriented treatment plans are the most rewarding aspects of her career. Dr. Olmstead is a member of American Academy of Audiology and American Speech and Hearing Association.

Dr. Taylor UngerF-AAA Certified Audiologist
Dr. Unger began his undergraduate coursework at the University of Georgia. He then completed his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry with an emphasis in Biochemistry and a minor in Biology at Augusta State University in 2005. Following graduation, Dr. Unger was a nuclear chemist at Plant Vogtle for Southern Nuclear Operating Company and Georgia Power. After leaving the nuclear power industry, Dr. Unger began his Doctorate in Audiology (Au.D.) at Nova Southeastern University (NSU) in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. In 2016, he graduated top in his class, with highest honors, and he was awarded the Marc Trychel Future Leader Award at the Florida Academy of Audiology, the Dean’s award at NSU, and he was inducted into the Alpha Upsilon Delta and Alpha Eta honors societies.
Following graduation, Dr. Unger was a faculty member of the highly esteemed American Institute of Balance (AIB) in Largo, Florida under the tutelage of Richard Gans, Ph.D. During his time at AIB, Dr. Unger trained and certified hundreds of medical professionals including physical therapists, occupational therapists, audiologists, neurologists, and otolaryngologists in the assessment and treatment of vestibular disorders. He has edited textbook chapters on the topic of BPPV. In 2016 and 2017, Dr. Unger presented at the American Academy of Audiology on the topic of the biochemistry of BPPV. He is currently preparing additional presentations on vestibular disorders at future professional conferences.
In August 2017, Dr. Unger joined the staff at Atlantic Hearing and Balance; he is developing the only full-service vestibular laboratory in Volusia County, Florida. His goal is to provide gold-standard care in the assessment and treatment of vestibular disorders for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patient populations. He holds state licenses to practice Audiology in both Florida and South Carolina. Dr. Unger is also a member of the American Academy of Audiology, he is Board certified by the American Board of Audiology, and he was awarded the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). Dr. Unger is CH-AP (Certificate Holder-Audiology Preceptor) certified through the American Board of Audiology.

Dr. Shelley L. AndersonF-AAA Certified Audiologist
Dr. Shelley L. Anderson is a Board-Certified Audiologist and a member of the American Academy of Audiology and certified by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, FL. She went on to earn her Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) from the University of South Florida.
Dr. Anderson completed her residency in Tampa, FL at Tampa Bay Hearing and Balance Center. After completion of her residency, she accepted a position at Tampa Bay Hearing and Balance Center where she specialized in comprehensive assessment and treatment of adults with hearing and balance issues. Dr. Anderson has a special interest in cochlear implants and worked at the University of North Carolina Hospital and was apart of the Adult Cochlear Implant Team. Dr. Anderson joined the Atlantic Hearing and Balance team in 2019. In her free time she enjoys the beach, spending time with her family and running!

Dr. Lisa A. KrebsF-AAA Certified Audiologist
Dr. Lisa A. Krebs, graduated from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania with her Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) degree in 2008. Before joining the Atlantic team, Dr. Krebsworked primarily in ENT offices providing hearing and balance testing and rehabilitation.
Dr. Krebs’ areas of expertise include diagnostic and rehabilitative audiology, counseling and aural rehabilitation, and the selection and fitting of amplification for treating hearing loss and tinnitus. She has special interest in educating patients about hearing loss and improving people lives through better hearing and communication. Dr. Krebs is Board Certified by the American Board of Audiology and is a member of the American Academy of Audiology.
